VIDEO: Meet Filmmaker, Skateboarder, and Meow Skateboards Founder Lisa Whitaker
It might have been weird for Lisa Whitaker to be in front of the camera for most of this video, but we're glad she did. Whitaker has been skating and documenting women's skateboarding for two decades. She founded the website and company Girls Skate Network, as well as Meow Skateboards, giving many of the top women's skateboarders and up-and-coming skaters a board sponsor.
By filming and publishing videos of the ladies shredding the street and park, Whitaker provided women's skateboarding the proper media coverage the niche industry wasn't getting elsewhere. Watch for the video for yourself and enjoy.
